Let’s talk about this fruit that most people don’t even think about buying. I have noticed that most of my friends and family only buy the standard typical fruits like apples, bananas, oranges, grapes, etc. They are somehow forgetting that the Pomegranate is truly one of the most marvelous fruits to eat, especially when it is in season. Not only is it a great snack by itself, but this distinctive produce is also a great way to add some tangy flavor on top of your smoothie bowl, tacos, salad, oatmeal, etc.

Don’t let the sweet taste mislead you, the health benefits of pomegranates are innumerable. This amazing fruit consists of three times as many antioxidants as both wine or green tea, preventing the oxidization of LDL (bad) cholesterol in the body. Besides being an anti-oxidant, Pomegranates also have anti-viral and anti-tumor properties. Additionally, it’s said to be a good source of vitamins, especially vitamin A, C, and E, as well as folic acid.
