Pomegranate is called Anaar in Nepali. It is not the most talked fruit and most people don’t even care to buy them because they are a little work to take the seeds out but Pomegranate is truly one of the most healthy fruits to eat, especially when it is in season.
This amazing fruit consists of three times as many antioxidants as both wine or green tea, preventing the oxidization of LDL (bad) cholesterol in the body. Besides being an anti-oxidant, Pomegranates also have anti-viral and anti-tumor properties. Additionally, it’s said to be a good source of vitamins, especially vitamin A, C, and E, as well as folic acid.
They are great snack. I like them as a topping in my smoothie bowl, tacos, salad, oatmeal, snacks, etc. I love its tangy flavor and texture.
